Full Moon

Glitters against night sky,

paints a silver trail

against rippled ocean.

Flat light illuminates

houses, gray landscape,

sapphire horizon.

Gravity tugs parched earth into

opposition with lunar landscape,

agitates booming surf.

Bright hemisphere blares,

brings out possums, raccoons,

keeps us tossing and turning.
