Civility
I extend my right hand,
reaching for common courtesy,
for greeting you respective of our shared humanity

in what seems reasonable, customary,
for the expectation of social graces

aligned with acceptance
of proper protocol, decency;
but why do you leave me hanging-
a suspended empty extremity
