Optimistic eye

I see in my dreams once and again,
Mountains, rivers, valleys
And dramatic formless earth,
My Africa
My landscape

My vision was not lost
When fatalistic nightmare came
In my bed time
To darken
My dreams

I can see by analogy
Life is
Something
We must let it
Unfold.

Like a flower passionately infatuated,
Provoked by sunshine
I can see my inner soul dancing
To the rhythm of my profound heart
Palpitating, beating, and pounding
Sonorous songs

Though misty rains deliberately drizzle
Flooding my path
And dark grey cumulonimbus clouds
Hiding my sky blue

I can
See
By optimistic eye
Because it sees tomorrow
And the invisible

It is my optimistic introspection.
My manifestation
Of mystery

I can
See
Visions,

And
Aspirations
Beyond.

To face the music

Just tears, only lolling drops
No sounds voicing out
I rocked and walked
My heart tremble
I knew I must be on my own
Surrounded by mysterious cape mountains
And waves of sea roaring

I let my childhood fade like morning dew
When dawning sun rays smile
To me endurance was lofty
I am a man
Poetry is my life
Life is but rages and stages
A rocky and bumpy road

How can there be no sound
When I play radios and dances.
To face the music
Is waltzing to and fro
To the rhythm of every season
Of every sunny day, rainy day, stormy day
Or misty morning

Is the drama of life
Sometimes we do stumble and fall
Our hearts broken
But we must know how to dance
When music seeks us
We must not hide
It was meant to be
Let’s jive together.

Work of art

My life is a mural
Across the land like rainbow
I am of many colours
Countless colours

I am a sculpture
A masterpiece
A work of art
Refined and designed.

I am calm like a well,
Open like blossoming petals,
And confident enough
I am ultimately measured.

I am a subtle expression
A crystal sapphire
Glittering and scintillating
I am the poet.

I yearn for silence
I am dramatic like mountains
An unfolded gift
True born African

I am proud of my culture
I know my attributes,
Values and norms
I am a work of art.

The lost city of gold

Mapungubwe

You Africa! The birthplace of humankind
Have you forgotten your royal black son?
Crowned with gold upon his head
And old craft colourful beadwork on his neck
He is the shepherd along forests that dance
To the rhythm of hills and valleys so dramatic!
In the south of Limpopo valleys I praise and summon
There is the son treading herding cattle.

You history PhD books!
Forget not ancient woman
Who by firesides foretold African past hidden stories
Discover treasures and landscape of Mapungubwe
She is our African daughter

No matter how archaeologists outline the triumph
The mystery will remain hidden within shadows of Africa
For the city was lost
And not yet discovered but unveiled
Where is the antique glittering stone of gold?
My grandmother told me that Africa is not Africa
But Afrika with tears and blues

I praise you! Mapungubwe
Lie there, just south of the Limpopo River and not move
Stand beyond the broad horizons
You are not lost but found
You are rich in gold and stories of broken Afrika
Your dream is not shattered

Telling a little story

This is a love story
A thing of beauty to let you know
More than the scent of a rose
My love is calm subtle feeling
After every cup of it you can sense
My arms giving you warmth
In our white luxury villa

Every season there is joy
No wonder a winter breezes
When our souls provoked thereby
Listening to the gentle sound of the sea
Just like rhythm and blues
I love you!

That late summer day
Getting closer to what we are longing for
Beyond the mountains
At the dock of the bay
When the sun was setting
You broaden my horizons
And straighten my tomorrow

There are multiple languages of love
I can make it by endearment words
My actions and emotions can manifest
If only you can translate them all
It will be simple truth for me and you
To reach all dimensions
When my voice to your ears
Be able to narrate a little story never been told before

Let us go beyond
Oh my love!
Let us tread through
Away from home, there abroad
Oh my love!
Let us cruise deeper and wider
To the island of shadows and rainbows
I know it is so hard to resist
Because my love to you is like tides of sea.
