It burned my eyes, as did the sand on
My skin, rough as diamonds, intimately
As precious.
They bounced and bobbed and
Dipped and oscillated in the murky water,
Uncertainty and realization like a pebble
Antagonistically predeceasing each one.
I gazed down at each, crying, laughing, invigorated
By the tangible and the intangible.
I looked down upon a leaf by
My foot and saw the Blood of Life seeping
Out from within, from trickles to torrents.
Ho! this is my beginning!
