Technicolour Wanderings

Cigarette burns across the carpet of time
A man exhales, the chances already gone
He ponders his worth, while sipping the fountain of youth
Ageless wandering as waves roll in

He breathes in deeply, drawing it in
Images rapidly changing, across the sky
Colourful explosion highlights the sunset
Dark and foreboding, the storm clouds await

A bird soars ever upward, silently away
Nature undisturbed by man's mechanical way
A leaf gently falls toward the earth
Man's future, rides its path

A colony of ants continues unaware
Developer's wish written in stone
Ceaseless animation, a crowd drawn to watch
Night calmly waits for the oncoming storm.
