American Academy of
Arts and Letters Writers.
Her translations of
the poems of Vénus Khoury-Ghata,
published in 2003 by the Graywolf Press, was nominated for a National
Book Critics' Circle Award.
She
received a Lambda Literary Award and the Lenore Marshall
Award of The Nation magazine The Academy of American
Poets in 1995, awarded Selected Poems the Poets'
Prize in 1996
