Falls - October 2001

Season of foliage's last beauty,
Why does Fall become the
Time to drop bombs;
The leaves fall off,
Flying downward on the wind,
Thin organic letters,
Golden and red,
Leaving so other life
Can reappear,
In a cycle of
Regeneration,
While the heavy leaves
Of human beings
Splatter,
Dispersing the bystanders
To the missiles' havoc.
- So people fell
From the garden.
