Masculine Entity
Masculine entity
Rid your fleshy mass
From my presence
Walk backwards-away, away
How did you become so clever?
How did your mask change?
Carry away your foul words
Depart from here, from me
You should have known
My saber would be drawn
Anticipating your painful sting
From infecting my remains
Black Pitch
The destroying forces of darkness
I brush aside
Although it is swallowing my heart
With it's black chambers
Until I can breathe no more
I gasp for breath but it's chains
Pull me down again and again
No one to rescue my aching soul
Except myself
And yet I hide, withering into a
decaying, musty shell
Grasping to hold onto the reds and ocean
blues because their light is a saving grace
Midnight's black pitch will erase my light
Taking me down deeper
To those depths I fear
Praying for the goldenrod warmth
of the fire in the sky to save me
To melt the horror that is trapped in my heart
Carry me to green fields and lavender blankets so fair and true
As I chisel the evenings weight off of my
heart
The darkness retreats once again
to grey, to beige, to white
Quiet, stillness and peace.
