pond peace

Peace becalms the spirit at the pond
every shade of green is here
chickadees, redwings and the red bellied woodpecker
intent on finding mate and home 
fly in and out of the swamp willows
a nuthatch amuses with his diving up and down the old ,dead locust
searching for food or home, who can say?
the marsh marigold beckon a closer look
the blue of the sky competes with the bright of the flowers' yellow
no crayon box could hold their brilliance
my heart sings
