Blue Eyes

Blue eyes:
Blue like Dutch blue
On china cups with windmills;
Blue, but white on center
Of irises:
White light, beaming off
Creating white, white circles
Surprising, like two flashlights
Reflecting off blue blue cups in a dark room
Like a picture of snow and lake
Fresh, crisp, beautiful.

But contemplating snow and lake
Goes only so far:  "God's beauty"
"Nature so awesome"
And the blue eyes also end there.
Beauty so full you want to taste it
But then it's gone, finite, tasted
Like a mint candy
Only a temporary linger of minty
Surprisingness remains.
Delectable minty blue but
Finite and
Without further significance.
