BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA Kissing Time I watch the sand slowly roll down These glass walls underneath a frown The small grains drop one by one Falling upon the hammer of a gun My world drains into an unknown desert It drowns as the sun rises to assert I pray for rain to twinkle against my windowpane I pray for thorns to calm my pain The night is buried somewhere in time A lemon grows from a small lime Everything seems to change under its wrath Just as iron corrodes before its breath I stretch to endure a succulent kiss To inhale the life that I desperately miss But the ground pulls me in untimely Covering me with the sand of you and me Crucified in Windy Fields I cry for you in disgrace I cry because the wind is in my face I spread my arms to hug the air But it blows me back to my lair Your face dances in the corner of my eye It sways like a blade of rye I am crucified in this field From these chains I cannot yield The bruises on my wrists are stale So I give in to your gale I bow my head in surrender Chin touching chest ever so tender I beg for the wind to push it backward But your answer was not heard All Rights Reserved.
