One Story

We went to purchase a cat
At the anti-cruelty society
He felt it terribly inhuman
To trap animals in small cages

But I've always felt that
We all live in cages, and it's
Not a question of humanity
Rather, a matter of square footage

He chose a large gray cat
Which really impressed me
Most want to buy brand new
And, own all bragging rites
In the pussy's future perversions
Which brought us to a discussion
About the crisis in Kososvo
So, I asked if he considered
Being a U.S. soldier

"Being a soldier is fucking stupid"

So, I told him one story
I heard many years ago
That some believe war occurs
By the Earth's frustration
With a surrounding planet
One that selfishly invades
Our mother's personal space
And, this really pisses her off
So, all the men begin fighting
Because they are deeply tied
To her immediate anger
Man does not have the ability
To stop all the blood shed
Man can only live by
The emotions of the Earth

He just laughed at me
Said I was full of shit

Calendar D

She likes to be called Grace
This obnoxiously obese woman
With soft pillowing waves
Of gentle white flesh
That men enjoy resting
Their thoughtless crowns on
After they molest her

Grace was alone
In the middle of Calendar D
Crying about her children
And the tears immersed her
Like the images from the
Color television beaming
Into her reflective blue eyes

Every once in awhile
They try to befriend Grace
To this she never thinks twice
And, she sobs on the days
Others try to comfort her
Because her advice to them
Will always be the same

"Don't ever follow me
Closely in the rain
Cause you'll get pushed
Right into the street
Left to contend with
The oncoming traffic
Helpless and weak"

"My chemistry is just like that"
