Metamorphosis
Just make me feel like I own the sky
Like I could catch God in His biggest lie
I want passion and love not to keep going unsaid
Like the ink on my hands showing what's in my head
I laugh at the others still trying to get the joke
Pleasing the pleaser as they light His next smoke
Staring at the wall to ensure their attention
At something that's gone, too pathetic to mention
Just let me run like I own the Earth
To cover each mile with all my worth
Let the sun come out and shine on just me
For all the losers and slackers to see
I want to write words that make readers cry
So they whimper and weep and not understand why
I want to say things you'll never forget
To remind you of people you haven't yet met
I can see I am part of no lost generation
If I could only just breed my fascination
Just make me feel like this whisper is such
That He will hear I'm not asking for much.
Untitled
Sometimes I just sit
And watch the pictures
Float by.
Sometimes I hit and miss
And wish I never even said I could.
I make believe that
I can run away and
Laugh
At everyone I've left behind
But they catch up
And beat me up
And say they weren't even trying.
Soulmate
You are everywhere
Sweetness
Seems to be.
Spinning me
'Round corners I'm too tired to see.
Listen
And you'll hear my heart sigh
When you dream of me
I'll tell you why
There was a day
Many lives ago
When I must have promised
To whisper through time
To let you know
Where I'll go
To spend forever.
