A Moment of Stillness
A Moment of Stillness
Silence overcame the quiet;
Like thunder that holds its tongue
After it has cussed.
The day forfeited into night,
The sun dipped into a bath of nothingness
And the cipher sky, thickened into molasses.
And then it breathed.
The moment of stillness.
It lived made love to existence,
Pulling it towards having a soul.
The world, shackled by a clock of Pandora,
Stood anchored, unmoved.
Comatose, with her eyes wide open.
With an acreage in the forest of eternity
The moment lurked in the crevices
Played in the sacred trough.
Dance, it did in a promenade of illusion.
The unknown, its nefarious partner.
Twilight itched, and the moment cried.
The stillness gave birth to movement
And the silence recomposed its
Mute orchestra to sing.
And the moment of stillness
Was no more a moment
Then it was, a solitude;
A transient of time.
