I am Young but I Sleep with a Gun

B.C

The roman's arrow pierces the man's achilles heel
Blood spurts gather momentum
A gladiator solemnly defeated
Waiting for the sword - the removal of life

The Centuries

Another war, another dreaming,
When it was over we said -
We have learnt to accept all,
to reunite as one,
to love as one

The Present

On the calm face of the child stood a pimple - laughing
The gun resting upon the ledge, its image
upon the mirror
The horror of old age
Never eat an apple!!

The Future

More of the same?

The Traveller's Catalogue

Experience we are told comes with age. But what about observations, images that forever will remain transposed in your mind.
At the age of 20 I started to travel, to observe, to see, to clarify, to find. During this journey my mind diseased with experience - now baked by the fever of evolution - of witnessing the revolution. !!. (A time for learning.)

I saw hunger. I saw smiles. I made observations about the past - the statutes, palaces, temples, churches, ....., cities, countryside - all so nice!!. (A time for reflection.)

I made friends - locals, travellers, drifters, gypsies, ....., doctors, con artists, painters, wanderers, dreamers. I fell in love. I made love. (A time for happiness.)

I witnessed the pain upon drawn faces as they searched and lied about our friendship, so that they could quell the burning hunger inside their stomach. (A time for sadness.)

My friend, in your words I grew old though still very young. (A time for living.)
