First Questions

What lawful tears would I shed?
if only someone could be of a strain...
there would be nothing to loose within a heart
on the saddest day of a week, of a year.

Who would want the dead?
Its not for me, no reason to own it
and a chance to have some peaceful mind
would only contradict this tale.

When is a result carried to completion?
something dreaded, to be known, savored or for later
if only a chance to go back, before a deluded time
was given out of grace, even a promise would I know.

Where is the end of time?
Somewhere within your eyes today
somewhere that you'd rather not see
but you know it is soon, as well as I.

Why does a reason have to be unsaid?
Without a care, a thought, just a quick refused question
its lonely to know that trees speak nothing
and yet you are here, talking to them
as if, and only if they'd smartly answer.
