Roadside Graves

I am haunted as I drive by the site of roadside graves
Graves and signs that say "Jesus saves"
Saves flowers, sneakers, make shift crosses and pictures
Pictures haunt me, broken bloody bodies

Body of Christ, source of renewal
Renewal of faith, who will wreck next
Next I obsess, will it be me or mine
Mine is not the lonely fate of roadside graves
Mine is love and sweet singing "Jesus Saves"
