Time Enough

Oh now
There is time
Not before not presently not soon
But time enough

Time enough
to anticipate a day
when the starry plump lips of a wet summer
mouth behind a heavenly window
align with the eternal river of consequence
There can be a time

There can be time
when batted eyes and battered continence
collide in tumultuous flesh rolling
over and under and in and out and up and down
Sweet indulgence
There might be a time

There might be a time
of unforseen vulberability
circumstance striking at an opportune
juncture in our lives
Delayed consummation of past suggestions
For want or lack or desire

For want or lack or desire
in a mutated vision of smashed inhibitions
but always compromised and familiar
and gapped
despite harmonious spirits
Hope will remain for all time

Hope will remain for all time
Because there is time
Not before not prsenetly not soon
But time enough
