Untitled Life
Broken
dreams, foolish longing.!
Raise not thine head within my heart again.
Empty days, ne'er belonging.!
Life swift is dull and meaningless without you in.
Drabbest nights, sorrow thronging.!
Yea, all I love is wrest from me-the past, it grins.!
Whitened skull, sightless glaring.!
Doth not but I feel loneliness awrithe inside ?
Boundless fool, mindless erring.!
Heaven captured I within mine hands, but it has died.
Pointless time, seldom caring.!
The single bastion I live doth serve to ease my pride.
Vainnest days, delve in rancour.!
The frost of ancient past doth blow and chill my blood.
Heinous ways, fleeting anchor.!
Vainglorious acts afore, they sink within the mud.!
Melancholy, cease your canker.!
I cannot stem the thoughts that seethe from mortal flood.
Other dawns, do you hear me?
Doth the cloud of misty mornings fog your vision, clear?
Future love, do I fear thee?
I doubt this stuff of dreams that made my present drear.
All my work, it deplores me.
For the truth of things, too oft' it comes and robs my cheer.
I, the bard, darkly pining.!
>From the vulgar depths within, I pen a thought that's mine.
Goodness charred, soul resigning.!
Naught but children that I love, do halt the black design.
Fabled land, brightly shining.!
Taunting mindscapes ripple palely 'neath the acid brine.
Will a maiden's arms enrapture?
Doth a woman wait forlornly for my troubled gaze?
Is't in truth, worth the capture?
Ne'er could I think a lass would love my quirkish ways.
Live I will, I'm the actor.
Pass, I will, thro' temp'ral acts that span my days.
The World Is New, So As Before
The world revolves so as before,
her face has passed thro' manu doors,
new things are old from time's vast core,
the world is new, so as before.
Realities are myriad,
the past and future both have had,
the tombs of kingdoms, aged and sad,
the world is new, so as before.
The ancient riddles wax anew,
the cords connect to me and you,
their magic sings to whom it's due,
the world is new, so as before.
There is a force around us all,
its essence filled from time's dim hall,
dare seek you now to change your thrall?
the world is new, so as before.
Go forth and shape your fate, O man,
bequeath the world your glory, grand,
but laugh of gods will understand,
the world is new, so as before.
