Invocation
#1
O Earth, acutely felt,
O mother Witch,
O sog of teeming sand!O lichen-daubed
Cacophony of granite mysteries!
O plum-skin scattered sea, O salmon-spawn
In darkling pool!O bloom-unsevered flame,
O skip of light 'cross brook-swell, river spray,
Abandoned thaw and churn!O wind, your chirp
In aspen grove, O Bunting lark, O roar
And siren-murmur, trill and groaning pine!
O comely pelt of stars!O spell-cast dawn,
Volcano-bronzed and fleet!ensorcel me!
For I, your paramour, my love-thirst thus
To drink each breath each part, the All, of You.
