Reginald
Shepherd
is the editor of "The Iowa
Anthology of New American Poetries "(University of Iowa Press,
2004). He is the author of five volumes of poetry, all
published by the University of Pittsburgh Press. Shepherd is
the recipient of the 1993 "Discovery"/The Nation Award and of
grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Illinois
Arts Council, and the Florida Arts Council, among other awards
and honors.

Mark
Jarman
is the author of a chapbook and nine
books of poetry: Jarman’s awards for poetry include a Joseph Henry
Jackson Award, three grants from the NEA, and a fellowship from the
John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. His book The Black
Riviera won the 1991 Poets’ Prize. Questions for Ecclesiastes was a
finalist for the 1997 National Book Critics Circle Award in poetry
and won the 1998 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize from the Academy of
American Poets and The Nation magazine. |

Hilda
Raz
is editor of PRAIRIE SCHOONER and the PS
Prize Book Series in Poetry and Short Fiction and is Professor of
English at the University of Nebraska Hilda Raz has published many
