About Poetry Submissions

Here is some useful information about submitting poetry.

• When you submit poetry, you certify that you are at least 18 years of age. PoetryMagazine.com  features poets from new to seasoned, from the recently published through long celebrated poets. Featured Poets are by invitation.
   

• "Submission Guidelines"
  We prefer submissions that have not appeared elsewhere online;
  we sometimes accept previously printed work with proper credit.
  Send your best, unpublished work or send work for which you wish to gain a larger audience. What we don't like is coarse poetry, pornography, or any work that demeans any group of people for the sake of self-expression. What we like is language-rich and life-affirming poetry that shows attention to craft and the potential to endure time.

• Due to the volume of submissions, we often can not respond for periods up to 6 months from the time of submission.

• No obscene, pornographic or otherwise offensive material will be accepted.
